An ergonomist from Briotix will meet privately with each individual in their designated work space. Ergonomic assessment goals will include: improving  the individual’s current workstation orientation and postures through on the spot changes, educating the individual on neutral ergonomic postures and opportunities to self-correct, identification of ergonomic risk factors/red flags, and data collection regarding comfort/discomfort status and to identify work tasks & general work habits.  At the close of the assessment the ergonomist will have collected necessary data for report generation, be it a formal write up or a brief synopsis.

Level 1: Mini Workstation Ergonomic Assessments
{Sweep Style Evaluations}

These mini ergonomic assessments are an economical, concise, yet effective option to controlling workplace related musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs).  Our trained ergonomists spend time with each employee and makes “on the spot” changes to posture and equipment placement.  This also includes a thorough review of the employees chair and all the adjustability features.  These evaluations are best suited to symptom-free workers and those considered being at low MSD risk.  They also are useful as part of a new hire orientation, when upgrading office equipment, renovating workspaces or workstation, or relocating to new facilities.  These are a great tool for sweeping large groups of employees or done in conjunction with a lunch and learn seminar.  There is a 4 hour minimum with this evaluation package and clients often include ergonomic lunch and learns or training to accompany the sweep of ergonomic evaluations.

• Abbreviated Written Recommendations Provided plus spread sheet of equipment needs (if equipment needs is requested)
• 3 employees / hour / evaluator with a  4 hour minimum
• Can be accompanied with Ergonomic Training Lunch & Learns

Level 2: Protective Ergonomic Assessments – Standard Onsite Risk Assessment
{More In Depth than Level 1}

Level 2 ergonomic evaluations are more comprehensive than Level 1 assessments. These ergonomic assessments are ideal for workers with symptoms, involved in physical and occupational therapy and those who work in high-risk jobs, such as data entry and materials handling.  As part of the Level 2 evaluation process, Briotix will provide a detailed report of the overall ergonomic conditions with workstations and work areas.  Any changes made to the workstation and recommendations for future modifications.

• 1.3 employees evaluated per hour on site

Level 3: ErgoMED – Post Claim Ergonomic Intervention Risk Analysis
{Workers’ Compensation RULA & Adjuster Required Documentation}

Level 3:  ErgoMED Post Claim Ergonomic Intervention – ErgoMED evaluations are intended for those individuals who have a reported workers’ compensation or disability claim, require return to work assistance, have a physician’s prescription for ergonomic remedies, and/or require assistance reducing occupational or non-occupational ergonomic risks.  ErgoMED evaluations incorporate all the components of a Level 2 evaluation, but incorporate these additional components as requested:

• Objective risk scoring
• Symptom tracking
• Follow up assessments to ensure compliance and symptom resolution
