Your privacy is important to Briotix Health. This Privacy Policy describes the types of information we collect, how we may use, disclose, transfer, and store your information. If you have questions, you may contact us as described below.

Personal Information We Collect About You

You may be asked to provide your personal information anytime you are in contact with us. We may use the data you provide consistent with this Privacy Policy. We may combine the information you provide with other information to improve your service experience and improve our products or advertising. You are not required to provide the personal information we have requested, but we may not be able to provide the products or services you have requested if you chose not to do so.

Here are some examples of personal information we collect:

  • On our website if you register for a webinar, ask to join a mailing list, or use the Contact Us feature we may ask for your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address.

  • On our technology portals and support websites you may be asked for your business contact details, your job title, your location, and discomfort information to process an ergonomic request.

  • When registering for a medical service you may be asked for your contact details, insurance details, a method of payment and other personal health details.

We collect the minimum amount of information from you necessary to fulfill your request and provide the relevant service or support.

 

All the personal information we collect is processed in the United States, at no time is data is transferred overseas.

We also collect data by automated means -this data does not permit direct identification of an individual. We may collect, use, transfer, and disclose non-personal information for any purpose.

 

Here are some examples of non-personal information collection and how we may use it:

  • We may collect web traffic patterns including language, zip code, connecting browser and operating system data, referrer URL, etc. so that we may better understand user behavior and preferences and use this information to improve our products, services, and security systems.

Briotix websites, online services, web applications, email messages, click-through URLs, phone applications, etc. may use cookies and other technologies such as pixel tags and web beacons. These technologies help up us better understand user behavior, usage, and measure the effectiveness of our websites, advertisements, and business processes. We treat information collected by cookies and other technologies as non-personal information. However, to the extent that Internet Protocol (IP) addresses or similar identifiers are considered as personal information by relevant regulation or local law, then we treat IP addresses as personal information.

Whenever non-personal information is combined with personal information, we treat the combined information as personal information.

 

If you would rather not have non-personal information collected, disable cookies in your web browser and avoid clicking on text and graphic links and embedded url’s in email messages.

Opting-Out of Marketing

On our website, you may sign up to receive newsletters, exclusive offers and promotions, notice of special events, and product news. To sign up, we ask you for contact details such as your name and e-mail address. We use your contact details to send you the information you request and communicate with you about our products and services. You may also stop the delivery of future e-mail from us by clicking on a link provided in every e-mail. It may take up to 15 days to honor your request.

Opting-Out of Service Support

At any time, you may also revoke consent for services you have initiated such that professional service interactions will be ceased. You may not, however, revoke consent for injury prevention compliance programs initiated by your employer which may be required under law or by the terms of your employment. Questions about this are best directed to your employer.

Information We Share

At times Briotix may share certain personal information with service providers we have retained to provide services on our behalf –such as an equipment provider, or in the instance of a health benefit plan, that your employer has asked us to integrate with –such as a health insurance payer. These service providers are not authorized by us to use or disclose the information except as necessary to perform services on our behalf and are obligated to comply with legal requirements.

In addition, we may disclose information about you (i) if we are required to do so by law or legal process, (ii) to law enforcement authorities or other government officials or (iii) when we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to prevent physical harm or financial loss or in connection with an investigation of suspected or actual illegal activity.

 

If you are a California resident, you may ask us to refrain from sharing your information (whether collected online or offline) with our affiliates and other third-parties for direct marketing purposes. Please tell us your preference by contacting us as indicated in the “How to Contact Us” section of this Policy.

We reserve the right to transfer any information we have about you in the event we sell or transfer all or a portion of our business or assets. Should such a sale or transfer occur, we will use reasonable efforts to direct the transferee to use information you have provided through our websites in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Policy.

Protection of Personal Information

 

Briotix takes the security of your personal information very seriously. Briotix protects your personal information during transit using encryption such as Transport Layer Security (TLS). When your data is stored by Briotix, we use computer systems with limited access housed in facilities using physical security measures including storage in an encrypted state. Briotix maintains an Information Security Management Program (ISMP) that follows best practices outlined by standards such as ISO 27000.

 

We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards across our company to help protect against unauthorized disclosure, use, alteration or destruction of the personal information you provide to us.

Retention of Personal Information

Briotix will retain your personal information for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in the Privacy Policy, according to your employer’s stipulated retention period, or by the retention period required or permitted by law. This is generally for a term of 7 years, unless data is under a legal hold or required for continuing compliance purposes.

Access to Personal Information

For personal information we hold, we will provide you with a copy of that data for any purpose, including to request that we correct or delete the data –if Briotix is not required to retain it by law or for legitimate business purposes. We may decline to process requests that are jeopardize the privacy of others, are extremely impractical or for which access is not otherwise required by local law. Access, correction, or deletion requests can be made by emailing privacy@briotix.com.

Third-Party Sites and Services

From time to time, we may provide links to third-party websites, products, and services. These third-parties may operate independently from Briotix and may have their own privacy policies in place, which we encourage you to review if you visit any linked website. To the extent any linked website, product, or service you visit is unrelated to Briotix, we are not responsible for its content or any use of the website.

International Users

Briotix abides by the EU General Data Protection Regulation as both a Data Controller and Data Processor. Briotix uses and complies with Model Contractual Clauses for the collection, storage, transfer, and disclosure of personal information collected in EU member states.

Updates to Our Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically and without prior notice to you to reflect changes in our information practices. If there are material changes to our Privacy Policy, we will post a notice on our website along with the updated policy.
